RANGE ROVER WHEEL UPGRADES IN CALGARY
We love Land Rover because well-chosen upgrades have such a dramatic impact on the style and performance of their models. From the do-it-all Discovery, the off-road Defender, the Nurburgring lap record-setting Sport SVR and SV models and the Range Rover LWB for the ultimate luxury experience, Land Rover has a long list of desirable SUVs!
The number one request we get from Land Rover owners is for upgraded wheels, with most owners choosing to have us install winter tires on the original alloy wheels and then buy a set of upgraded wheels and tires for summer driving.
Many of the premium Land Rover models built since 2002 share similar wheel specifications – these include the Range Rover full-size L322, L405 and L460 variants, the Range Rover Sport L320, L494 and L461 variants, new Defender 90, 110 and 130 L663 variants and the Land Rover Discovery 4 and 5. While these vehicles share the same 5×120 wheel bolt pattern, hub bore and offset range, it is still important to choose new wheels carefully to ensure a perfect fit for brake clearance, no tire rubbing or other technical issues due to poor fitment. Some BMW models share the same wheel bolt-pattern with these LRs but most of the wheels designed for BMWs don’t have a sufficiently high Load Rating to support the weight of a fully loaded Range Rover!
Here is a brief overview of our most popular fitments by model and year range.
2010 – 2016 Land Rover LR4: Upgrade to 20” through 22” wheels and tires. For off-road use we can fit 18” or 19” wheels with taller diameter all-terrain tires.
2017 & up Land Rover Discovery: Upgrade to 20” through 23” wheels and tires. For off-road use we can fit 20” wheels with taller diameter all-terrain tires.
2003 – 2012 Range Rover full-size L322 (aka FFRR): Upgrade to 20” through 22” wheels and tires. For off-road use we can fit 18” or 20” wheels with taller diameter all-terrain tires.
2013 & up Range Rover full-size L405 (aka FFRR): Upgrade to 21” through 24” wheels and tires. For off-road use we can fit 18” or 20” wheels with taller diameter all-terrain tires.
2005 – 2013 Range Rover Sport L320: Upgrade to 20” through 22” wheels and tires.
2014 & up Range Rover Sport L494: Upgrade to 20” through 24” wheels and tires. Installing SVR size wheels and tires is an excellent upgrade for V8 Supercharged and Autobiography owners looking to maximize dry weather grip and improve ride quality.
2020 & up Defender 90, 110 and 130 L663 – Upgrade to 20” through 23” wheels and tires. For off-road use we can fit 18” or 20” wheels with taller diameter all-terrain tires.
To further optimize the final wheel and tire fitment and to improve the overall look and stance of the vehicle, we have ride height lowering and lifting components available for all LR models equipped with factory air suspension.
